Description
Gifford Eardley has made a lifelong study of the Australian Railway Systems, particularly those appertaining to the various private and industrial concerns.
He is the author of several books relative to colliery lines and is a regular contributor to the bulletins of both the Australian Railway Historical Society (of which he had the honour of being the foundation Vice-President) and the St. George Historical Society.
As an author he has the happy art of almost making his writings talk to you in plain simple language and the ability to transfer his enthusiasm to his readers.
