  • The President drives the society’s vision, ensures the committee acts in the best interest of the members, and acts as the primary link between the society, local council, and the public.
  • The Vice President acts as a sounding board for the executive team, ready at a moment’s notice to step into the President’s shoes to run meetings, make executive decisions, and represent the society publicly.
  • The Secretary acts as the primary point of contact for official correspondence, maintains all statutory records, and captures the official minutes of meetings to ensure the society meets its legal obligations under NSW Fair Trading regulations.
  • The Treasurer oversees the Society’s finances, ensuring that funds are managed responsibly and transparently. The role includes monitoring income and expenditure, managing banking and payments, advising the Committee on financial matters and ensuring its long-term financial sustainability.
  • The Curator has overall responsibility for the management and coordination of Lydham Hall, including the historic site, Society collections, exhibitions and museum operations.
  • The Research Coordinator manages historical records, public inquiries, and the society’s bi-monthly publication.
  • The Program Coordinator manages the activities calendar and event logistics for the society.
  • The Marketing Coordinator manages the public face and external outreach of the society.
  • The Catering Coordinator manages the food, kitchen, and hospitality for all society events.
  • General Committee members support the work of the portfolio holders by undertaking delegated tasks and projects.
