The SGHS is kept alive by its membership and volunteers.

Becoming a member of the St George Historical Society is an excellent way to engage with St George’s rich cultural and historical heritage. The society welcomes anyone with an interest in history and offers various membership options.

Your membership benefits include:

• free entry to our museum – Lydham Hall Historic House and Museum
• a bi-monthly SGHS email newsletter
• a complimentary invitation to the SGHS Christmas celebration

Your membership makes it possible for the St George Historical Society to:

• Lobby for historic preservation of our local area
• Maintain our museum – Lydham Hall Historic House and Museum
• Undertake research for members and the local community
• Publish histories of the St. George area
• Host talks and walks for members and locals
• Facilitate society meetings and gatherings
• Support our volunteers

Your SGHS membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. If you join between March and June, your membership will include the following year.

Membership types:

• Individual
• Household (up to 4 persons residing at the same address)
• Full-time student under 25
